🏷️ Writing, Work, and Letting Go of Labels
I’ve heard many times that writing blogs can make money.
Maybe that’s true—depending on the kind of business behind it. For some, it’s strategy, marketing, and systems. For me, it’s something quieter.
I write because it helps me think.
I write because it helps me grow.
And yes—I still work. Life isn’t just sitting at home writing all day (even if part of me would enjoy that). But there’s something about the idea of a quieter life that speaks to me more now than it used to.
Maybe that comes with time.
Being in mid-life has shifted my perspective. I used to think a lot about labels—what generation I belonged to, what others expected, how I should be seen. It was easy to get caught in that.
But not anymore.
Writing has become a way to let that go. Not all at once, but little by little. A healthier way of moving forward—without needing to explain everything or fit into someone else’s definition.
If anything, this journey is about continuing to grow… and continuing to go.
There’s a photo on my website—sand, simple and quiet. That image feels like a reflection of where I am now. Not rushed. Not defined by noise. Just present.
And maybe that’s enough.
