✝️ Faith Beyond What We Hear

I recently came across a post reflecting on Romans 10:17:

“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.”

It made me pause—not to debate, but to reflect.

Sometimes, verses like this are taken in a narrow way, as if faith depends only on physical hearing. But when I sit with it more deeply, I see something greater. Faith is not limited to sound. It’s something we receive, something that reaches the heart in ways beyond what we can measure.

Scripture reminds us of this in another place:

“The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of His hands…

without speech or language,

without a sound to be heard,

their voice has gone out into all the earth.”

God is not limited by human ability—whether hearing, sight, or anything else. Neither is faith.

In my own journey, I believe in something even more hopeful: that we are not defined by our current limitations. The Bible points to a future where we are made whole—where there is no more brokenness, no more pain, no more loss. A life restored in ways we can only begin to imagine.

So rather than focusing on differences or debates, I choose to focus on trust.

Trust in God.

Trust in His understanding beyond ours.

Trust that faith reaches every heart in its own way.

This life is temporary, but it carries purpose. And I believe in a future that is peaceful, complete, and everlasting.

On this journey, I hold onto this:

to live with gratitude, stay grounded in faith, and encourage others to find peace along the way.
